  The Coimbatore Welfare Association, a charitable philanthropic body, was established in 1964 with the noble cause of education as its mission.  It started a school, which is today a reputed Matric and Higher Secondary School, Shri Nehru Vidyalaya. In 1989, its Silver Jubilee year, SNMVCAS was established. From its humble beginnings, it has grown to its present lofty status.
